941 Apps, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled by our app, Founder Camera.
The short version
Founder Camera has no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything it records or reads stays on your device. We never see your videos, your scripts, or your face.
Information the app uses
- Camera and depth sensor: Founder Camera uses the front camera to record video and reads the front depth sensor to draw a faint outline of you on screen so you can center yourself. Depth data is used only to draw that outline, in the moment, and is never stored or transmitted.
- Microphone: Your voice is recorded as part of your video.
- Recordings: Finished takes are saved to your Photos library, or to the app's own folder in the Files app if you have not granted Photos access. They are never uploaded anywhere.
- Scripts: Markdown or text files you add are stored in the app's folder on your device so the teleprompter can read them. They are never uploaded anywhere.
- App preferences: Your settings (light color and brightness, teleprompter speed and text size, camera adjustments, and where the live view sits) are stored locally on your device.
How your information is used
Solely to record your video and show you your outline, your light, and your script while you do. We do not share, sell, or disclose any of it to third parties, because none of it ever leaves your device.
Data storage and security
All data handled by Founder Camera is stored locally on your device, under the protection of your device's own security. We do not transfer or store your data on external servers. A take that has finished recording but not yet been saved to Photos is held briefly in the app's private storage and saved on the next launch if the app is closed in between.
Children's privacy
Founder Camera is intended for people making video content and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app stores nothing outside your device and transmits nothing, it collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
