Kiradex - Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 8th, 2026
941 Apps, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") makes Kiradex, a collector's dex for trading cards. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled by the app.
The short version
Kiradex does not collect any data about you. It has no account system, no analytics and no advertising. One small server of ours runs the plaza, described below; it keeps nothing. Your collection lives on your device and in your own iCloud.
Information the app stores, and where
- Your lists: the cards you have and want, how many copies, and what you note about a copy (its condition, grade and certificate number), together with price histories for those cards, are stored on your device and in your own private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. Apple provides that storage under your Apple Account. We cannot see it.
- Your profile: a handle the app makes up for you (two words and a number, never typed by you), how your character looks, and the cards you choose to show off. Stored with your lists, on your device and in your iCloud.
- Your settings: price market, card language, device skin. Stored on your device.
The camera
The scanner uses the camera to read the card you hold up to it. The reading happens on your device, against a list of cards that comes with the app. Pictures from the camera are not saved and are not sent anywhere.
The plaza
The plaza is where collectors walk around together. While you are in it, the app sends a small server of ours your handle, how your character looks, the cards you are showing, where you are standing and which of the set lines you say, and the server passes them on to the other collectors in the room. It holds them in memory only while you are connected, writes none of them down, and its log names nobody: it records a room name and a head count when someone arrives or leaves, and a reason and a room when someone reports another collector, nothing more. The server runs on a hosting provider's machines (Railway), and your connection reaches it through the provider's edge; the provider may keep its own connection logs, which can include your IP address, for a limited time under its own policy. Nothing is typed: the handle is made up by the app and the lines are chosen from a list. Leaving the plaza ends it.
Game Center
If you sign in to Game Center, Apple shows your Game Center name in the app and records the achievements and leaderboard level the app reports. That is Apple's service under Apple's terms and your Game Center settings, including the parental controls on a child account. Kiradex receives your Game Center alias and nothing else about you from it, and keeps none of it on any server.
Purchases
Kiradex is free. You can choose to support it with a patron subscription or a gift, bought through Apple's in-app purchase. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details. The app reads your own purchase history from Apple on your device to work out your patron tier, and stores no record of it anywhere else. Purchases unlock cosmetic flair only: nothing about your collection or the game is behind paying.
What the app sends over the network
To show cards and prices, the app requests public card data and images from TCGdex (tcgdex.net), card pictures from Scrydex's image host (images.scrydex.com), from the Pokémon TCG API's image host and from TCGplayer's, and prices and card facts from our own store (store.kiradex.app), a set of files we refresh and that keeps no record of who asked. Like any web request, those include your IP address and the ids of the sets and cards you look at. They do not include your lists, your name, or any identifier from the app. Those services' handling of requests is described in their own policies. In the plaza, the app talks to our plaza server as described above. Sharing a card or an illustrator sends a kiradex.app link through the share sheet you choose, and nothing else.
Children's privacy
Kiradex is rated for ages 9 and up. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included: there is nothing to type, no account, and the plaza's server keeps nothing. Purchases go through Apple, where a child account's Ask to Buy applies.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes its data from the device. To remove it from iCloud: Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Kiradex.
